Jim Proeller is the visionary that was inspired to create the Mass WEdia experience.With a distinguished career as a senior management leader, Jim has shared his talents and result driven abilities with CNN for over 25 years.  It is his driving passion and his unwavering purpose to share his proven strategies and results driven outcomes with individuals, companies and global corporations.  As one, succeeds, WE succeed.

An overview of Jim and the skill set he brings includes: CNN's Senior Director of Editorial Operations. In that capacity, Proeller managed production teams as well as created and developed workflow and new technology to meet the ever-evolving needs of the global network. Proeller created solutions to complex problems by engaging individuals and working in tandem with them. He served in key human resources-related roles overseeing hiring and training talent, staff development, idea creation, diversity initiatives, performance management, as well as educating international journalists as part in CNN's fellowship programs.


As the Supervising Producer of CNN Media Operations, Proeller helped define the technological and workflow requirements, implementing several editorial production initiatives, which increased individual contribution to the product as well as operational efficiency. His extensive field production experience includes covering the 1992 Presidential Campaign of Bill Clinton as well as the 1997 Hong Kong Handover to China. As News Production Supervisor with CNN International, Proeller helped develop new facilities, create an integrated operations/production department and was instrumental in major regionalization projects.

His pride is in the success of those who he has mentored. From bureau chiefs to vice -presidents to happy people who work from home, Proeller ignited their internal power to achieve their dreams. Proeller shared in numerous awards during his career at CNN, including a National Headliner Award for the "Capture of Saddam," and a George Foster Peabody Award for "Reporting on 9/11." Proeller earned his Master of Science Degree from the University of North Texas, where he studied Radio, TV and Film with a concentration in Television Management.

He is currently studying for his Senior Professional Human Resource certification He is married to Deanna Proeller, a former CNNer as well, who started her own successful pet sitting business in 2006 and has grown Dee's Dogwalking and Petsitting http://deesdogwalking.com/ to be a valuable asset to the community. They share in their greatest production, their daughter Lois.

Proeller has been active in mentoring, studying the spiritual aspects of golf as well as enjoying competitive tennis.
